    Min-Height Problems on FF

    So I just registered, I read this topic before posting this problem: http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/show...8&postcount=31 about min-height.

    For some reason, FF doesn't want to expand the background-color attribute that I set, but only to where the min-height ends. The content expands fine.
    I am using the latest version of FF.

    This is the website (spanish) where I making changes: http://www.clanleal.com/?pg=bf2142_medallas

    I never had this problem before with FF. Why is the background-color not expanding? I even put a border and it ends right where the background-color or min-height ends. I want it to expand just like the content does.

    This is the CSS:

    div.content_2 {
    padding:0px 10px 0px 10px;
    width:791px;
    background:url(../images/bg_content_hd.gif) #415c6e repeat-x left top;
    min-height:686px;

    }

    Markup:
    <div class="content_2">

    </div>

    Is wrap in a table. I was thinking in puting the background-color in the table since it expands fine. This is why I haven't moved to a 100% table-less approach.

    Thanks in advanced....

    All your medallas divs are floats. Floats are removed from the flow so your container (content_2) div does not have a height (except for the min-height). Check out

    and go down to "FAQ : What is clear used for:"

    And before you say "but it works in IE!" this is a bug in IE. It doesn't work right. Firefox is performing correctly.

    Thanks for the replies, that really helped.

    I forgot that little detail about floats.
