Prevent row selection when link is clicked within row
I have the following page: http://ericbusch.net/sitepoint/test-js.html
A row is highlighted when you click the row or check the checkbox. This is the appropriate behavior.
But, is it possible to prevent the row from being highlighted when the link is clicked? If so, how can I do it?

When the link is clicked a pop-up window opens and displays details about the link.
I don't want the user to check the box by clicking the link because it will lead to their confusion. ("wait, i just wanted to see the details and not check the box until after i have read the details")

stop the event (click) from bubbling from the link's click handler,
or return false from the row click handler if the event target/srcElement is a link.
