    What are your favorite podcasts?

Podcasts, the audio blogging format of choice, are slowly picking up. We're still far from the day they replace radio talk shows, but there's already a ton of quality podcasts out there.

The last firmware update for my Zune added a podcasts menu to the top level of the interface, and wifi sync so I can automatically have the latest episodes synced and ready in the morning when I leave home.

So far the only I listen to regularly is Read/WriteTalk, which I was previously downloading as individual mp3s by hand.

So what podcasts do you listen to? Maybe I'll subscribe too

    I listen to these:
    Boagworld
    .NET Magazine Podcast
    Photoshop Quicktips
    ESET Security Podcasts
    Unleashed (cartoon)
    Ask a Ninja

I usually sync my iPod during the weekend or at night and listen to them while I'm commuting.

What I can't stand though are podcasts with sleepy-voiced speakers or trying-to-be-funny speakers.

Even though I have my own podcast, I haven't really gotten into others very much. One I do enjoy is KilltheDesktop. I don't listen to all of the topics as there is a lot of mac stuff on there, and well I don't have a mac, but they also talk about things that are good for developers working from home, etc.

I have yet to see a podcast you have to pay for.

I've come across a few. Someone has to make a product out of the format, right? They were foreign language training podcasts. Start at the beginning for the basics, and when you get to the new stuff, they're just weekly conversational type things to help learn more vocabulary in the language.

That's a good niche to start charging in. If I wanted to learn a language, I wouldn't mind having to pay a small fee to download them. I'd never pay to listen to a web design podcast though.

Cant believe no -one has mentioned TWIT yet!

    www.twit.tv

Loads and loads of podcasts on there. I listen to TWIT itself, Windows Weekly and Security Now religously.

    Also more media oriented:

I have been working onsite with a client in NYC, so suddenly I'm riding the subway a lot and I decided to try out podcasting. It really helps the ride go by!

I've been listening to a few shows on NPR, so far.
