Question What php script would easily do this?

I have a client that is an actress/model and she has a photo gallery that she has me update very frequently. The gallery is pure html right now, and she really likes the way it looks. I would like to find a php script that could match the look of her gallery exactly and she could update herself. What php/mysql script would so this easiest?

I would say there are a number of Photo Gallery type scripts on Hotscripts. With any of them, you are still going to need to edit the template files in order to match exactly. Our script uses Smarty templates, and many others do too. Hopefully, you will find what you are looking for... good luck!

I resize the images on upload then use a php code to read the directory and display the images.
This would be the best way for a novice as all the naming resizing is done for them.

Finding the exact gallery style as yours would I think be difficult. Depends how well you know your coding but most of what you want must be around and you could modify it.

I must have tried 5 or 6 galleries ( looked at an awful lot of others ) and none of them were just right so I did my own - this is about the 3rd version and I should get around to finishing it !

I did start writing a code for others to use http://www.rubblewebs.co.uk/folder_php/gallery.txt but again what options to include or not to include ? You may be able to use it or parts of it to get started.

If you want to use a Gallery script then the two most used scripts (as far as I know) are Coppermine and Gallery. They are both pretty decent scripts and can do quite a lot although to make them look like your current layout you will need to edit the templates as dvdduval said.

You could always build one inhouse though and Sitepoint has just the tutorial.
