Help with perl

Hi all,

need some help with this perl script. http://203.147.214.53/cgs/temp/indexer.cgi.txt
I wish to modify the script to allow it to be run from a broswer, right now the script must be run from the shell.

I've tried running the script using SSI <!--#exec cgi="indexer.cgi"-->, but the resulting database is strange.

Is there a difference between running the script from the shell and the SSI way? If so can anyone point out to me what to change in the script please.

Can you point browser on it?
Seems to everything fine... don't know about:
require './conf.cgi'; #whats in there?
Try to do not use SSI, try to dump it in HTML (or what you use for web pages).
Maybe 'coz script can't be fineshed, so SSI
cannot include it right.

Still don't have much luck, but I found out that you can exec command using SSI

<!--#exec cmd="indexer.cgi"-->
different from
<!--#exec cgi="indexer.cgi"-->

the script was meant to be executed in the shell.

are there any other SSI phrase that I should know of? If so can someone point to me a resource for SSI please.
