hi mates, I'm having problem using wordpress and wamp. My target is running my own blog in my own computer for testing purposes only.

I followed the instructions in wordpress but i can't understand how to create my own database and password. Is there any visual guide in installing wordpress to wamp? i have the latest version of wamp.

I know how to use html/javascript and a bit of php.

    WordPress database

Hi alcatraz678, welcome to the forums,
Installions can be frustrating. AFAIK WAMP comes with myphpadmin. First create a database, then add a user and password. Then add those values to the WordPress config file. WordPress should create all the tables for you.

If you have hosting with cpanel control panel, then go to "Fantasico" and click to install blog > wordpress, which will auto install the blog for you including auto creating of databases.

make sure you are running MySql service.. then go to phpmyadmin... there u will see an option to add database
Sometimes, there is no option to create user/password...just read the doc file that comes with it...that has default username and password
