Hey, this problem started today, youtube videos (in fact the whole page) will not load in firefox.
They work fine in internet explorer.
I am not sure if this is the cause because I think they weren't working before but I installed something from the CNN live stream video here which might have somehow affected things? The stream was here http://edition.cnn.com/video/live/li...stream=stream3
Any suggestions on why it won't work. I reinstalled the flash add on in firefox on somebody's suggestion but that didn't fix the problem.
The whole page won't load but I think it's just the videos cause on websites with embedded videos the page loads but the video doesn't. It's a firefox problem, everything loads fine in internet explorer.
The CNN plugin wasn't a firefox 'Add on' it was a standalone .exe but it didn't so much install a program as it was supposed to just make their live video feed work (which it did) so there's no new program as such on the start menu or elsewhere where I can select 'uninstall'...
plus I'm not even sure that is the problem, are there any other things that could cause this?
I clicked on the link and got an error from CNN "Unsupported platform". Now, I'm running FreeBSD with Firefox so I don't know if they meant my OS platform or Firefox but it's possible what you installed doesn't work with Firefox.
Guys this is really weird. Surely there is an explainable reason why the same youtube videos would work in internet explorer but not firefox? I don't get it.
