Well - it all depends on how much you'd like to invest. What type of site do you run?
I sell software... what's a good approach? This is an established site and I'm trying to double or triple our revenue.

Well - have you thought about advertising via adwords? Depending on how much your software sells for - and how much your server is, you can easily advertise for cheap and make the money back.
Well, I advertise pretty much everywhere you can think of, including adwords. i was asking more from a budget perspective, whats' the right way to go?

The average business wants to make atleast 10 to 15% so take costs out and you can spend what ever is left on advertising.
I would just increase spending a certain percent and see how much more money you make.
