    Ruby on Rails Hosting

    Hi There
I am currently a 1 and 1 customer, and unfortinately they do not support ROR . Anyways that put to one side can anyone recommend a free ROR hosting company, or a company that will charge around £20.00 to get my ROR website hosted?

did you get a chance to look the offer sections? i am sure there a lot of hosts now offering ROR and the best place to look at will be the offer section.

What are your other requirements? How much BW and disk space are you looking for?

    Main requirements are:
Reliable 99.95% up time would be good
BW wise, the site I designed is a social networking website, so not sure on Bandwidth
Disk Space again not sure as its a social networking website, there is one company I'm looking at, they offer RoR for 19.99 but at the moment I still shopping about.

I can see the amount of space I'm using but not so sure, about my bandwidth I only have my logs to go on I think.

If you use the right coupon codes and pay a year at a time, DreamHost can be pretty cheap (under $50/year).

That said, if uptime is really important, you are going to have to pay more than a few bucks a month.

did you look at joyent's plans? (including the free option?)
With HostGator's Hatchling plan and if you pay yearly it would cost you around £40/year and if you pay for 3 years it will be around £30/ year (£90 for the 3)...
And always remember that you only get what you pay for (WYPIWYG = What You Pay Is What You Get)

I know, but I'm already paying around £56.50 every 6 months, so £19.99 a year would be grand :P

Dark Tranquility above has been using Hostgator for a few years now, as have I. A search http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/search.php should reveal quite a few reviews on them, most of which positive.

    Hi All
I've decided to cancel my current hosting company and moving myself all the way over to Host Gator USA. WOOOHOOOO, gone for 3 years
