    adding site to directory

    well
we were planning to add our site to web directories...after some 2 hours of work we were able to add web to around 10 directories...

but we were paused when we reached here http://www.auscan.biz/directories/a.html
means there were thousand of directories...for which manual link adding will take a years...

so what can we do any automatic submission tool to directories...

and we should be happy by adding sites to some selective directory or is it more the better?

and our site is portal arranged as
    www.site.com/jokes
    www.site.com/sms
    www.site.com/recipes
    www.site.com/articles
    ..movies..ecards
    and so on...

our each section is a separate site...so we want to promote it that way ..but most of the directory doesnt allow using sub directory...
    so what can we do...
    any idea ..

I would not use automatic submissions. You could pay for site to be added by a company.

Deep linking is only allowed on some directories. Try getting links from other sites or start a blog and write posts about each section of site and add the deep link to post about it.

There are a few free submission tools, sometimes they can even be available on your hosting control panel (I think cPanel has a limited submission tool).

This service used to be great, I haven't used it for a while so I don't know if it is up to date. It is a bit complicated but is worth checking out.

I think not you can submit to those directories manually an effective way of building backlinks...

Directories have moderators, if they like your site automaticaly they will add you within 1 week time...

I always agree with manual submission.
