How to get press release on google alerts

Hi all

Just wondering if anyone knows how to submit a press release on google alerts. Much like most of you I'm using the service and would like to get some of my news distributed through the alert system. Thanaks

PR Leap allows you to bid for placement that will get you on Google News.

I published a press release there over a year ago and I still get a couple visitors a day from that press release.

I suspected that was the case. Any free ones that will do the same?
