    Security and passing values

    I pass values from a child window to a parent window as in this code. Is this secure, and if not how can I pass this data securely?
    Code:
    <script langauge="javascript"> function post_value(){

    opener.document.editform.ownerid.value = document.lookupform.ownerid.value;

    opener.document.editform.petowner.value = document.lookupform.oname.value;

    opener.document.editform.ostreet.value = document.lookupform.ostreet.value;
    self.close();
    }
     </script>

    If you want security then you're looking at the wrong medium. JavaScript is client-side and so is completely exposed. You can try obfuscating by applying some form of encoding algorithm, but the original data is still clear in the client.

    Or ... am I misreading your question? In what way are you meaning secure?

    security

    I am referring to an outsider somewhere on the web hacking. It's ok if user see's the data. Can an outsider get/steal what being passed?
