    IE6 clearing issue on first page load, but works fine on second load

    Hi guys,

    I'm having some issues with my centre column on some of my pages. For example:

    http://www.ry.com.au/store3/tigi-tig...c-115_113.html

    Upon first load in IE6, the content column will clear the side columns to the bottom of the page, however upon refresh it displays 100% correctly. I can only assume this is something to do with the images loading? I'm at a total loss on how to fix this.

    Any ideas?

    I could only see the problem once. It may be caused by invalid html or a double margin bug or ...
    Try to validate your code and add display:inline; in #rightcol

    Hi,

    I can't duplicate the problem locally but there are three things to try.

    1) make sure all images have their height and width attributes in the html. If these are missing then browsers won't know how much space to allocate.

    If this is quite a job then you may want to try steps 2 and 3 below first.

    2) add position:relative to #content.

    Code:
    * html #content position:relative}
    3) If that doesn't work try overflow:hidden as well.

    Code:
    * html #content {overflow:hidden;position:relative}

    Paul thanks very much for your help you've saved my *** for the nth time. Do you accept donations???

    Dan I know its an invalid mess, unfortunately I'm working with zen cart so having anything that is even remotely semantically correct is a monumental leap!
