Question Fuji finepix cameras, Any good?

I've been using my cell phone camera to take pics, but really it doesn't cut it and apart from having an annoying stall when taking pics i'm dissapointed with the results. Plus the zoom is totally crap and shouldn't even be a feature.

So, I've been looking at entry level digital cameras and have found two Fuji finepix cameras. Anyone have experience using these? Are they a decent make? I just don't want to spend loads of cash on a Nikkon or Cannon right now.

these are the ones i've been looking at:
    Fujifilm-FinePix-S8000fd-Digital-Camera
    Fuji-FinePix-S5700-Digital-Camera

I've read the reviews on amazon and they seem reasonable cameras, just looking for fellow sitepointers' advice/tips.

    Thanks,
    Andy

S8000 is a nice camera... Maybe you should think about smaller models because these two models are to big for a pocket...

But if you need ultra zoom models ....

I most always carry a rucksack, so the size of the camera isn't an issue really. These cameras, could they be considered to have a good zoom? 10mpx is ok right?

    Thanks for your reply.

Fuji makes a good camera. I've owned a couple point and shoots and never had a problem with them. Of course, they can't replace my Nikon.
