    fileupload

    can we upload a file using java script,without Serverside scripting.please ignore its safety but is any way there?

    Nope. This requires a server-side script to handle the actual upload on the server. JavaScript can only affect the browser.

    if we know the path where this file is to be saved on server and are aware of configuration file on server.
    can we upload the file by changing the server httpd config file settings?
    i dont know much about it.. plz help me

    You'll need to learn a server-side programming language to handle the file upload. I know it is fairly easy to do with PHP and there is tons of code in this forum that shows how to do it. Plus lots of tutorials are available on the web as well.

    Actually i was telling that i dont know much about http config file.But i know there are some server side scripting like asp,jsp,php etc., but there is a situation for me to find out whether the file upload can be done with out server side scripting?

    It cannot be done without server side scripting. Apache is just a web server.
