    CSS Overflow issue ?

    I have a problem with differing results between IE and Firefox.

    On the following page http://gpsactivitymanager.com/events...8-d5f1b0de451c

    If you select the "splits" option (top Left) then you get a table display bottom left. In Firefox the table displays correctly and has a scrollbar if it extends outside its height, in IE however the table just extends off the bottom of the page.

    The table is contained within a DIV with the following style
    Code:
    .scroller {
        height: 30em;
        overflow: scroll;
    }
    Any ideas on how I can get the scroll bar to work in IE ?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

    It's the positon:relative inside the overflow container that causes the table to become fixed within the element (it's an old IE bug).

    Remove the position:relative from here:

    Code:
    .dashboard_module .top_items {
      border: solid #ddd;
      border-width: 0 1px;
    /*  height: 14em; */
    }
    If you need a stacking context then the position:relative will have to on #scroller instead.
