index server - win2000 server

i have 2 site in my win2000 server.
1 is configured as a default site.
now i am planning to have a search facility for my 2second site.

so i created catalogs for that site.

normally i access my 2nd site using.

htpp://myservername/myvirtualdirectoryname/files.asp


but when created and started using the search facility for this second site, it always gave the search result path as

http://myservername/searchfile.asp

but it should have been

http://myservername/myvirtualdirectory/searchfile.asp


why is this coming like this. ?

What do you mean by "created and started using the search facility"? How did you create it? What steps did you take?
