Hi there,

I have the following code for my page:-

Code:
 $(document).ready(
      function() {
        $("ol li.step").hover(
      	  function() {
      	    $('#control_panel_title').text($(this).children('a:first').text());
      	  },
      	  function() {
      	    $('#control_panel_title').text('');
      	  }
      	 );
      }
   	);
At the moment, this is grabbing the text from within each list item on the relevant hover over. What I'm wondering is if JQuery has a logic for ordered lists, so that it would output the number of the list-item from the order that it appears in the list (just like a browser does). If it can, how would I go about doing this? If someone could explain it to me very basically, it would be a great help, as I'm a complete newbie to JS, let alone JQuery!

Thanks a lot guys,

James
