It's definitely possible, but the amount of traffic you get to your actual site will be a fraction of what it is. I think if you are a regular community member and you regularly participate in the community, to include submitting and rating sites that aren't yours, if you submit your own, it isn't an issue. if you ONLY submit your own sites, I think that is where the problem is.
