Hello Everyone!
A question in regard to advertising (from a publisher's point of view)
Does an advertising publisher need to collect sales tax on ad revenue? (LLC has been set up and documented)
Thanks!!

If you advertise on the internet only i am not aware of any sales tax in the states or any country. You still have to pay taxes on the income but i do not know of any sales tax.
Sales tax regulations vary by country, state and even county. In general in the US taxes are collected on physical goods and not on services and I've never heard of advertising having sales tax, but there may be exceptions to this in certain locations or for certain services. Your CPA or county tax office should be able to give you specifics.

Your ad revenue is the gray area insofar it can be considered services, and thus, exempt from the sales tax. (A lesson learned after being too frustrated to file quarterly sales tax forms)![]()

Generally not sales tax, but you do pay income tax on it.
