Question Simple Ecommerce for Au based website

    Hi All,

I know sitepoint.com is where all the knowledgeable and good looking people of the internet hang out so I come seeking some web advice and fashion tips...

I run a little site, www.bandbadges.com.au and I am looking for a e-commerce type solution that will handle payments and generate invoices.

Nothing too fancy I dont think, as you can see from the site - we only sell two products that are made to order, so i dont have need for mammoth shopping cart application with 100s of categories, search facilities, product reviews and such like... I would be happy if I could find an application that takes the info from my order form and turns that into an invoice which is emailed to customers. If it can do a bit of payment gateway stuff too that'd be ace.

I am also trying to avoid the rigidity and general ugliness of a lot of the larger applications (Osc, zenCart). I cant understand how the genericness of these sites build any type of emotional investment with the customers. :S

So my question is, who knows of any quick and easy applications, suitable for Australian based business (GST and the like).

    Thanks for reading,
    porle.

    Hi,

Have a look at avactis.com, you could probably make it look like your current site with a bit of work.

I am currently considering using it myself.

    Hello,

You could try Ashop ecommerce www.ashop.com.au

You can have a simple 1 product site or have as many as you like. They offer all the features you will need like security and GST tax features.

They are located in Sydney have super tech support and answer the phone if you need them.

I run my Australian site off them, never had an issue and I process thousands of sales.

PM me if you like more info on how they run.
