    Connection Failure, cfhttp

I'm making a call to a website with cfhttp. When I use it cfhttp, all I get is a "Connection Failure" error in the cfhttp.filecontent. If I goto the page in a browser, it opens just fine. It is an https page, but I didn't think that would deny cfhttp from connecting.

Any suggestions on where to start troubleshooting or what maybe wrong?

Have you checked out the documentation.

    http://livedocs.adobe.com/coldfusion...s/00000272.htm

It could be one or a combination of:

    • port. When using https CF uses the default port 443.
    • certificate. There is a paragraph in the documentation that mentions the possibility of having to manually import the certificate.

I was experiencing a similar problem, but thanks to nkosi's post above was able to problem-solve it issue. It turned out to be CF not accepting the SSL, once it was registered on the server it is all working like a charm
