Error in daemon.dll on windows XP

Hi,

Could any one help me it this regard?

i am tying to use "USE WIN32:AEMON" in my perl script but its not working.
i have tryied to register the DAMON.DLL but not succeded to register it.

I have Windows XP OS.

Please help me

I have never used it so have no idea. But saying "its not working" is useless information. Any error messages or what does happen?

Looks like you need to install the module. Open the activestate folder on your PC and then open the "documentation" and read about how to use PPM to install modules. It is pretty simple.

I am unable to install win32:aemon Module.
when i am running ppm form the dos prompt a A DIALOG BOX opend and comes in front of me but in every tabs i tried to find the required Module but not visible anywhare.

Actualy what i need is, i have to perform 2 tasks

1. i need to PING all the my servers & device (ip based) and have to ensure that everything is working fine.

2. I need to pick some service running on servers(remote servers) and have to verify that services is working fine and running stat.


Could any one PLEASE HELP me to do the same by using some other modules or ...

Please reply me with the solution/suggetions, how can i do this....

I am trying to install these 2 module but not able to do so...

Ppm install http://www.roth.net/perl/packages/win32-daemon.ppd

both are givingbelow mentione error

but receiving the ERROR "ppm install failed: 500 can`t connect ro www.roth.net:80

Can any one able to tell me the reason with the suluyions...

I AM WORKING ON MY LAPTOP WITH WINDOWS XP OS...

Sorry, I don't know how to do those things. Ask on the roth.net site how to nstall the modules they have listed on their site.
