    Strange italian text in my description tags

    Hi,

    I am kind of a newbie, so maybe this is not so strange after all, however I do need to fix it.
    Some very strange italian text appears in all my description tags shown in the search engines. The text is exactly the same for all the pages, including the home page. I have wordpress installed, and when check for the descriptions I wrote myself, all of them are just right.
    I decided to delete all the files from the server, it was a new blog so it doesn't really matter. However, I need to find out what happened here, is this some kind of virus, a bug?.
    I also need to know if once I reinstall all the files and create new pages, that bug description is going to dissapear.
    Hope you can help me.

    Did the domain originally belong to an italian site that has a DMOZ listing?

    Google will grab the DMOZ description from time to time or it may have the old site still cached.

    1) Check DMOZ for your site.
    2) Check the cached pages in google.

    If that is the case you can fix it by adding this meta tag:

    <meta name=”robots” content=”noodp”>
