    Float problem

    I've honestly tried to fix this but I'm still struggling to get this working.

    I have a sidebar on the left that doesn't show in IE6 no matter what I try.

    Link is here

    Can anyone give me a bit of insight please. I have read a float faq but am still struggling to get my head round this one. It was also one of my earlier css sites so it is a bit of a mess.

    Thanks

    Edit: sorry this should be in CSS forum, can someone please move it. Thanks

    Thanks snarky but I really don't want to redo what I've already got. I was hoping there as a quick fix for this via an IE6 fix as it works fine as it is for all other browsers. I've been looking at this all day now and I still can't find a way of getting it to work for me. I also only have netrenderer to test on and I can't see whether its dropping to the bottom or hidden behind something which isn't helping.

    I seem to get a 404? I checked in a couple of browsers just to check that this wasn't the page you wanted looking at but I get the same page (looking the same) in IE6 and Firefox so presume the link is broken?

    To be honest, the CSS is a bit of a mess to sort through. There's a combination of position: relative/absolute along with float's which seem to be causing problems.

    Also consider that IE6 and below doesn't support min-width and you'll maybe understand why you're having problems.

    The problem for the left menu seems to be caused by this

    #nav {
    width: 100%;
    margin-bottom: 20px;
    position: relative;
    float: right;
    }

    Removing the float: right seems to display the menu again but probably not in the position you want it.

    There is a lot of stuff conflicting in your stylesheets though so I would have a look at tidying your CSS first as it'll help to limit future problems.

    Sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear but I hope it helps?
