ASP pages and search engine positioning

I was wondering whether having ASP pages hinders search engine positioning.

I am soon to encourage submission and wanted to know whether to recode some 'key' pages (ie index.asp) to .html pages?

    Anyone know?

    SEO Specific

    Hi

While most SE reside in the dark ages of HTML, many are now starting to index dynamic pages, i.e. Google...Most however won't index or effectively crawl dynamic pages (by this I mean those with querystrings...) regular .asp pages are listed and spidered OK...

You could output your dynamic content statically and therefore improve your 'visibility' or install mime type to stripout querystrings and reformat for output...

    Just some initial thoughts...
