You just need to embed your object(s) in your page along with an installer in case the visitor doesn't have the right player.

When they click on the file, the browser will ask them what to do if they don't have that file type set to a defauilt application.

    Can you please clarify more.

What do you mean by installer here ?

it would be really great if you post some piece of code may be some demo code or incomplete code

    Thanks Again

Just embed the movie, flash, or whatever other media object in the page. From your post, all the file types you are using are Windows/Microsoft based i.e. .asf, .avi, .wma --- thus, the only player that will play all those formats will probably be Windows Media Player, or possibly Real Player. So, now, you just knocked out everyone that doesn't use Windows Media Player. My best advice is to re-encode all those files into .FLV since flash is installed on about 99% of every PC/MAC/Linux machine out there -- the added advantage is that once in .FLV format, you only need one media player -- flash. In addition, its easy to build a flash file that will load .mp3 files directly. So for video, put everything in .FLV and just audio use .MP3

I would recomend "riva flv encoder" and
    http://www.jeroenwijering.com/
(click scripts) for the player. Holmscreek is correct and is what youtube and everyone else uses.

    amazing free stuff

other than that google for embed (.your file type) to get the embedded players.
