    How to implement these using javascript.

    go to this site.
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir.../previews/1190
    click on any of the preview images.
    then the effect that follows our click is awesom.
    disabling the rest of the page and higlighting our own.

    this sort of effect is also shown in the new template of ORKUT. (when trying to change the photo)
    can any one tell me how to implemnt that effect.

    Hi claws, welcome to the forums,
    From what I see in view-source, the Opera page uses jquery and thickbox.

    I am very new to jquery and thickbox frame works.
    I am just a newbie javascript programmer.
    never used any javascript frame works.

    I am making a website. in which i told everone that i will implement that effect.

    pls.. pls.. pls..

    kindly some one point me or paste thre required javascript code.
    so that i can directly use it.

    i know doesnt sound nice but i am in very urgency kindly understand.

    Been there, done that. More often than once I'm afraid.
    AFAIK both are free and open source with examples (and maybe forums?). It is not a simple "copy - paste" tye of thing. You need to include the libraries and call the functions from your page. Some code will need to be written.
