How's it done? I once saw a thread here that had some information on taking graphics created from Photoshop and exporting them as fonts. Now for the life of me I can't seem to find that explanation anywhere.
Can anyone give me some hints on where to start?
Thanks
you need to create an ai/ps/eps version of each letter. it's best to hand letter them with ink and scan them into streamline/coreltrace etc., but you can use photoshop to draw them and then use the selection/make path function and export the path, or just export the bitmap to illustrator/coreldraw/freehand and trace it. eventually you have to get the cleaned up vector files into fontographer or something similar to do the metrics/spacing/hinting/kerning pairs etc. (coreldraw can export them to postcript/truetype fonts, but doesn't support hints/kerning pairs--i believe, been a few versions ago that i did this). i'll look for some tutorials on this after lunch.
