    Firefox blurs the background image, accordion

    Hi!
    We're remaking the company website, and the designer wants a big background image to cover the entire site, and on top of that, he wants a sort of accordion menu. Like this:
    http://anders.nomadiz.se/nomcom/

    It works fine in IE6 and Safari for PC, but when you try it in Firefox, the accordion menu messes up the background (FF 2.0.0.7), and when you resize the window ever so slightly, it looks good again.

    Is there anything to do about this, or do we have to rethink it?

    Hello,

    I think you need to fool a repaint in the browser after your accordian script has done it's work, I'm pretty sure changing the body's position will fix it
    Code:
    document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0].style.position = 'relative';
    Hope it helps

    Yeah, that helped, but only after the script has completed. It still gets messed up during the movement. We're already redoing it, so this isn't really a problem any more, but if anyone has a solution it would be nice to know about.

    Well you should be able to call the repaint during the transition but it would slow things down a lot I would imagine.
