I'm thirsty and I loved looking at hartmann's beer pictures in another photo thread so let's see some tasty beverages!

Next to chilled, filtered water, this is one of my favorites:

We drink Martinis with a fish dish of some kind, that works in beautiful harmony. One is with little onions, the other one has capers in it. Onions create a touch of sweetness, capers give a bitter direction to the drink.

Oh, drinks can be so much fun. Just the ritual of fixing one, the wonderful aromas, the mouth feel. The company. It is such a fine tradition around drinking, with or without alcohol.

I know I've said this before, but a great thing about Belgium is the beer. Each beer has it's own glass custom-designed to enhance the beer's flavor too which is pretty neat.

Here are a couple of pics:

Yes, that beer looks good. Yum. The design of the glass to fit the flavor is a very important part, in my old country they do that as well. And when you think about it, all drinks have their own glass shape to be served in. A martini, a champagne, a wine. red and white different, tea, etc.
