I really can't afford to lose any more hair, so any help is appreciated.
I think that what I'm attempting should be simple, but it's not turning out that way. I'm trying to create a fixed width two-column layout. Some blocks have a fixed height and other blocks have an auto-height. The space between blocks is 10px and the padding should be 10px. Cross browser compatibility is essential. Here's a graphic that shows the layout. http://tinyurl.com/349o2k
steveorg, what you are attempting is not simple at all. Vertically centering text and column lengths are two of CSS's biggest shortcomings. And you are doing a lot of it!
What, exactly, are you having problems with?
Also, do you have a link to your page in progress so that we may tinker with the CSS and assist you further?
