    Lost sessions on page re-load

I have a webusercontrol that stores a set of answers to questions. The questions and storing of the answers is in a session array (2 dimensional), so each time the question is answered I place this into the array.
When the webusercontrol loads I ensure the session array is loaded with the questions and then display the first question. Upon answering the question the page is reposted and I attempt to add the answer to the session array - however upon re-posting the session disappears!
    How can I resolve this?

I forgot to add that I am using MS SQL 2005 server to store sessions "out of process".

Thank you for your insight, I am guessing there is a problem with the code (or at least missing something or the re-posting) hence why I thought I would post this thread.....

I have resolved the issue although not sure why it happened - was to do with the masterpage as I took webusercontrol out of this and placed it upon a normal aspx page and it works fine - how puzzling!
