When I do a search in Altavista.com for my url (i.e url:www.resources-webmasters.com) it brings back 3 links to 3 different pages on my site.
If however I use a nice position checker cgi script to check my site on all the major engines it comes back saying my site is not in the top 50 on them all.
How do you check what keywords the search engines have your site indexed under?
Thanks

Search engines don't "have" your web site under certain keywords. When you search for something with a search engine, it just searches their database and brings back a list of matches ranked by relevence. You should just try to optimize your site to rank high under keywords you think your potential visitors might be searching for.
