IE Flickering - Page to Page, background image flickering

This is an IE problem - maybe someone has a working solution?

Check this video if you want to see what I'm talking about.

IE 7 Behaves the same as IE6 in the video.

When navigating between pages/links the images that are css background-images (its one image, so its quite large - using positions exposes the right image in the right position) flicker... Looks really ugly. The rest of the text that doesn't change does not flicker and just stays visible during the page transition.

Ideas?

The flickering isn't as bad for me as in the video.

Have you tried using a separate background image for the menu?

Since I was using a single image and choped it up to display the right bits where needed, this image was rather large and really not very cool...

So I've made individual images now and the flicker isn't as bad, its still there :/

I couldn't open the links you gave, but by the looks of it, the image still isn't being cached.

Try this javascript in the head section of your document:
