    IE7 strange double background image overlay

    Hi,

    sorry if this is not the right place to post, I'm relatively new to this place.

    I am redesigning a website and there is one problem I cannot get my head around.

    The website is located at http://www.albor.de/test6.php.

    My question, as the title suggests, relates to a strange behaviour in IE7 on Windows Vista (seems also to be acting like that on XP).

    I have attached a screenie of the behaviour (the double overlay is circled red). For whatever reason, the background images on the left and right of the layout are (randomly?) doubled in IE7 only. I haven't tested in IE6 (and don't care for that, cause backward compatibility is so backward! ).

    It works just fine in all other major browsers on Win and Linux it seems.

    It seems to have to do with clearing the center div?

    I am at my wits end. Aaaaarrrgh!

    Thanks for all suggestions!

    Cheers
    Mike

    HI,

    It looks like a "haslayout" issue again (see faq).

    Try this:
    Code:
    #center {
    margin:0 10px;
    min-height:0;
    }

    Thumbs up

    Paul,

    that was it, thanks! I was able to change it so that the two elements (#left-bg and #right-bg) rather than #center have the {min-height:0;}. I just adjusted the top margins and that was it! Nice.

    I also had a look at the css FAQ.

    Issue resolved.

    Cheers
    MIke
