Slicing, auto-expanding content box question

Hi, well, I've got a layout in Photoshop, and I need to slice it for an auto
-expanding content box area (and the left and right borders of the content box should expand downward too).

I tried using the method of "putting the image in the background, setting the td height to 100% and the width to fixed, and not setting the table height." This worked for my other layout (http://nyccomputerhelp.com) but it hasn't worked here, because I have this sidemenu situation.

Could someone please take a look and give me an idea for making this work?

It would be nice if there is a CSS way to do this, but I would take a table method as well--whatever works, for this one.

Hi,

I would do it like this:

Bear in mind that I only spent about 15 minutes to do this including slicing images so I haven't been very precise with edges etc.

It should give you the general idea.
