FF Web Developer extension and background images

    Hi,

I've just been messing around with the Web Developer extension for Firefox (using version 2.0 on Intel Mac running OS 10.4.10) and I noticed if I'm viewing a live page on the internet and click CSS>Edit CSS and the sidebar opens with all that pages styles listed.... the background images on the page disappear. I'm guessing this is because those "background: url" declarations are relative and so FF is now looking on my computer for them. Is this true?

And is there a way to get the page to appear exactly as it does when it's live, while the Edit CSS sidebar is open? I'd like to try to reverse-engineer a page to see how it all comes together, but every time i open that sidebar things disapppear from the page then reappear when i close the sidebar.

    Ideas?

    Thank you!
    Pedro

I think it is true. I never paid too much attention. Here is an article about relative vs absolute.

I am not sure why things disappear. I'll look at this tonight.
