getting listed on yahoo

I have recently started submitting my site to search engines and directories. Open directory and the go directory have given me good listings but despite waiting weeks ive heard nothing from Yahoo. Would you say its worth paying the $199 fee to get a guaranteed review?, ive heard that most traffic goes through yahoo but unsure what to do.

I keep hearing about people having problems getting listed with Yahoo.

I just submitted axie Sunday (4 days ago) and the site is listed... and I did not pay anything.

My site was listed in Yahoo within one week.

I don't think it is worth paying $199 for review. Also it doesn't guarantee you listing.

Try reading some articles about getting listed in Yahoo. Maybe those tips will help you. Also I think Yahoo is now facing big competition from Open Directory so I think they should be more flexible than a year ago.

I got listed in a week. It surprised me. I guess just be honest and short but clear in the information they ask

Don't give up! I got listed but it took 6 months and 2 tries. Try again but give it at least 6 weeks, if you do it too often they will not list you as they consider it spamming. Follow the advice mentioned, review your meta tags and think carefully about what you write in the Yahoo form. Also make sure you are applying for the most relelvant category.

It took us over a year to get in Yahoo, but the last time we tried we went to a "having trouble" email contact link and told them our dilema and asked for advice to improve our site and thanked them profusely for their time. They sent no advice but sent an email saying we would be listed in a matter of days and we were!
