    authentication problem in different folders

    Hi!

    I have problem with conf file. tryed to find solution but I have no success.
    I have apache 2.2.3 on linux.
    i have follwoing structure in conf file.
    <Directory /website>
    ...
    </Directory>

    <Directory /website/webservices>
    ....
    </Directory>

    so.. in the first <diretory> is described the authentication. but on the second <directory> i want take off that authentication.
    Idea is that all site is under authentication except webservices folder.
    At moment it is all the time asking authorization also in webservice folder.

    waiting any replay

    kratt,

    Directories are heirarchical in nature so the higher level (with authentication) must have its requirements (authentication) met before it will allow you into its subdirectory.

    Thanks for replay!

    So basically it is not possible that a subbranch can not have different authorization or does not have any authorization at all?
