    Background images working in Firefox, not in IE...

    I can't seem to fix this problem in IE...I have two background images on this page, one for the top banner/background, and one repeating to the bottom of the page. In FireFox it looks great, but in IE it justifys the top image to the left, and displays the repeat correctly. Here is my CSS:

    Code:
    html {
           background: #867666 URL(/images/b5_wide.jpg) top center repeat-y;
    	min-width:920px;
           width: 100%;
    	text-align: center;
    }

    body {
           background: transparent URL(/images/b4_wide.jpg) top center no-repeat;
    	font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif;
    	line-height: 140%;
    	font-size: x-small;
    	color: #461817;
    	min-height: 711px;
    	min-width:920px;
    	margin: 0 auto;
    	text-align: left;
           position: absolute;
    }

    HI,

    Your mix of old and new is a bit disconcerting Don't use the deprecated center tag and avoid using align="center" also. Use css instead.

    Just add a class to your table and apply margin:auto to it.

    Code:
    table.tablename{margin:auto;}
    IE6 doesn't understand min-width and therefore hasn't centred the body element that you gave auto margins to.
