From Lightbox JS - make Ajax call using Dojo

    Hello

I have a proof of concept working which makes an Ajax call using the Dojo framework (Dojo version .4). I then have a proof of concept working which displays a DIV like a popup using the Lightbox framework (Lightbox Gone Wild aka Leightbox).

Here comes my problem. I want to make an Ajax call from the DIV which is displayed using Lightbox. I tried this using Firefox and this works but then when I test it in IE 7, it does not work. Dojo keeps throwing an error on the Ajax call. After researching this, I think the problem has to do with the fact that Lightbox uses Prototype. If I remove the script reference to Prototype, my Ajax now works using Dojo but then Lightbox does not work.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you correct the issue? I thought about trying to use Dojo instead of Prototype to power Lightbox but I am not sure how ingrained Prototype is in Lightbox. I also thought about upgrading Dojo to .9 to see if I still had the issue.

If anyone has any suggestions, your knowledge would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

I was able to address the issue by upgrading Dojo from .4 to the new .9.

Dojo .9 can be found here…
