    New Forums and Site Redeisgn

This has been a side-project of mine for the last 5 years. It's a forum dedicated to auto-enthusiasts and their love for cars. It is ran off vBulletin and few of the add-on products for the system. We recently just celebrated our 5th Anniversary and I decided to give all of the the users a little gift with a redesign.

I didn't want anything too overbearing, just a simple, clean design that is easy to manage and update. Afterall, the purpose of the site is to provide information. There is also a featured ride section that the members vote on every other month, as well as a gallery (in-the-works), and an arcade for registered users.

So 5 Years, 21,715 Members, and 1,131,406 Posts later, I present to you, the newest version of V6Performance.net:

    http://www.v6performance.net/forums/

For a frame of reference, this was our previous template we had purchased:

    Thanks!

    Site updated!

I know there are some issues with the floating if you resized below 600px.

I'm not a huge fan of fluid designs, but the site looks pretty good with that vb template (though i hate having to scroll down to look at sub forums =)

overall, i would say the design is pretty good. Nothing that grabs my attention, but nothing that turns me off... a flash banner at the top might give your site an added edge.

I think you have WAY too many forums on your first page... I stopped scrolling down because there was just more than I cared to read about - which is exactly what some of your viewers will think. I would recommend not listing so many sub-forums.

Otherwise, I'd say you're doing alright. If you have that many visitors and posts, you're probably doing something right if the same people keep coming back.

Could you list main topics (forums) and link to the sub topics (forums)
or any other way to divide up the page (lists too many on the first page)
Maybe the main forums and another page the main forum selected with the sub forums ??
Maybe some sort of topic search ??
You may want to check your keywords and description

    hope this helps
