    Hi everyone,

My site is still not getting the big amounts of hits. They are steadily increasing. I am however, getting enough that I should be able to get back the money i am losing for hosting.

However, I don't even know where to start to get banners for my site. I know that there are services that automatically get the banners for you, and you get a certain amount of money per thousand impressions.

Could someone give me their opinion on where I should start? Also, what is the best advertising service.

    Thanks

    Jim

    Jim,

Everyone.net's plug in ad network has proven pretty easy to get into for many, without needing the big hits to get in there. I'd suggest starting there.

You might also want to try out focusin.com (formerly datais). They don't require you to have a certain amount of traffic before joining.

    L90... http://www.l90.com
    ClearBlueMedia... http://www.clearbluemedia.com

Which site pays the most CPM?

They aren't very obvious about what they pay people who put their ads on their site .

Also, which have all of you used, and how much do u make CPM from them?

    Thanks a ton

At the moment, most of the ad networks I mentioned are in a severe slump... If you want, there are a lot of posts on the subject over @ gethighforums.com in the ad sales section...

As far as rates go, they are very very low at the moment, so dont expect them to be posted... about the best is everyone.net atm, with about 150 CPM believe it or not!

I use http://www.amazingmedia.com at my site because they pay both by impression and click through.

Its nice to have the impressions as a backup. For those days that nobody is clicking you're still earning revenue even though its a little over $1 per 1,000.

I also use http://www.advertising.com on another site and highly recommend them.

Whatever agency you use, make sure that you read the Terms and Conditions carefully and that your site is suitable. There is nothing worse than displaying thousands of banners for a company only to find that when it comes time to get paid, they refuse because of a tos violation.

AmazingMedia.com used to be ADSDAQ (I think) and had a shocking record as far as tech support and on time payments went... and I mean REALLY shocking .

They may have changed, I don't know, but be wary...

For people just starting out, I don't recommend advertising.com. They are a great service, but their major flaw is they don't carry over monthly payments. Trust me, I learned the hard way...

    CPM advertising.com?

They don't have many CPM banners, but when they do, they usually pull in about .6$ cpm... unless you use popups, which will get ya about 4$ CPM...

I've never heard of them, and that cant be a good thing, because I have well and truly done the rounds of advertising networks etc... their site seems alright tho... I still suggest you go with someone more reputable and don't worry so much about CPM rates, at least for the moment...

Well I must insert my 2cents... I concentrate on a pay per lead structure. My average cpm is over $24. I dont even think an offer of under $5cpm is reasonable unless its just a banner.

Consider some prevalent text links on each page that pay on a per lead basis. Your hosting fees will be obscure next to lead based advertising. Ivewon has been up since May and Ive quit my day job, however I still own a small business here in Little Rock. I havent had good luck at all with advertising.com and wouldnt recommend them to anyone.

I only use 3 networks because I know they pay. I like their setup. And they respond quickly. CJ DirectLeads & Onresponse.

Id like to add some nice webmaster related aricles for the site if anyones interested. You can email me from the about us page.

Again, advertising.com does carry over unused earnings. I know because I only ran a few ads with them the month before last and I got the carry over payment from them.

At any rate, always read the contract...

When I used them, they were different and didn't carry over - at least for me. My appologies for stirring up false facts.
