    redhat - apache php mysql

    RedHat7.2 is installed
    Apache is installed
PHP should be installed, but I can't seem to get it to work...

MySQL will eventually need to be working, too, but I think I should get PHP4 going first, right?

I don't know how else to explain my problem, I am pretty new to Linux as a whole, and I am doing my best to find as much as I can online.

what I have done so far:

rpm -qa | grep apache =>
    apache-1.3.20-16
    apache-devel-1.3.20-16
    apacheconf-0.8.1-1
    apache-manual-1.3.20-16

rpm -qa | grep php =>
    php-imap-4.0.6-7
    php-4.0.6-7
    php-mysql-4.0.6-7

    I followed the instructions here:
    http://wdvl.internet.com/Authoring/D.../build1-6.html

    HELP!
    thank you soooo much,
    ~Andy

Give apache a restart and see if that is the issue:
    service httpd stop
    service httpd start

    Good luck.

Congrats! When you make any changes to apache config you gotta restart it to make changes take effect. Good work though.
