that would yes be annoying... to me at least and maelzx too ...

there's no point since there're ways to bypass these i guess...

disable right-clicking itself can already be bypassed (at least i've never encountered a situation where i was unable to select View Source when the disabled the right-click )

besides, the user can simply take a screenshot...

You can find no-right-click scripts all over. Just do a quick google search. Do be warned, though, that they are generally considered both amateurish and irritating.

You can also probably find a source code encryption script without too much trouble.

As for the other things, I don't think you can disable them. If you're really that concerned about people selecting text and stuff, the only thing I can think of would be to make the site entirely in flash. Even that doesn't stop someone from taking a screenshot.

Really, anything you put on the internet can be taken by someone else, and the only way to completely prevent it would be to not upload the thing to begin with.

Just for curiosity's sake, what exactly are you trying to protect with all these "security" adjustments?

as my senior said "everything online is not secure!" LOL

anyway .. for the right click disable .. its better you put your own menu instead of popup that show "no right click" text and force people to click OK button.

you can always find the script at http://www.dynamicdrive.com (correct the url if wrong).

If your physics theory is so precious to you I would defintely not put it on the Internet. The inconvenience you cause your users and amateurish vibe you give off by implementing such a script is truly a waste of time in my opinion.

    But hey, who asked me?

OK dethfire but what is it you are actually trying to do? Why are you trying to disable all these items?

Explain that and you will probably get some better answers.

it is not my theory and it's my obligation to do everything i can to protect the writers intellectual property. Now do I think it is effective, no, but it is better than nothing and it's just one page. He is also doing me a favor for letting me host this article so I must show him i'm trying features to help him.

Put it into Flash. That'll stop people from copy-and-pasting it (though not from printing it).

But I don't think preventing copy-and-paste would protect the author's intellectual property in any way. That's not really how IP works, as far as I understand it.

If the content is in some way secret or proprietory, than maybe it shouldn't be on the web at all? If you're determined, then how about making the reader agree to an NDA before reading the text?
