    Thumbs up Flash Comic Generator

    Gonarilla.com

I've developed a flash comic generator that functions somewhat like a randomized game of Apples for Apples. All content is submitted by users via the "contribute" button.

I'm looking for reviews and critiques based on the following:

    1. Ease of Use (Did you get confused?)
    2. Bug and glitches
    3. Entertainment value
    4. What would make it better

These are things that are being developed now for a future update:

    1. Randomized facial expressions
    2. Ability to save out .jpg image of preferred comic

    Thanks!

For me the typing doesn't work. It just won't take any input...

    Hey SpawnOfJon, this is great!

Everything worked fine for me, and I really enjoyed messing with it for a minute. If you add those features you have already explained I think this would be perfect.

You've got a great idea here, and you've done a superb job creating it!

It's really well designed and fairly intuitive too. Perhaps could be a little deeper? That'd keep me sticking around for longer...

The save idea is good. Perhaps not only have different facial expressions but also offer the choice of a small selection of random (gorilla) characters too?

Needs to be more to it. You're idea of changing expressions would help a lot. Instead of simply a random question and a random answer would it be more intriguing if you tried to link the ideas more (even if you linked opposing ideas) by word matching or by promting for keywords initially and keyword matching - or whatever.

When I first saw the site name I thought it was a misspelling of gonorrhea.

The colors, text and graphics all fit the comic book motif you wanted and go well together.

I agree that you should find some way to relate the questions and answers so there is something funny about the reply. Kind of like trying to read a Chinese instruction manual translated by someone from China into English.

It is very easy to use. you might think f moving the "WTF is this" above the actaul app. the design and look is great.

Entertainment value...it sounded intriguing however after two or 3 refreshes it had lost it's appeal for me.

Why don't you have it so people can upload their own art as well and place the bubble on it. then people could vote for the art the same way they do for the text, helping to get rid of some of the stupid things that will get posted. making it alot more like a deviant art/comic mashup. That Iw ould cruise on all day hitting refresh like a robot.

i like it! the whole site is cute and looks pretty crafty - much better than my designs. I think the site is simple enough to ease on loading times, and yet creative enough to keep a viewer involved and says exactly what the site is. I really like the use of a friendly avatar to market the site.

I also had some issues trying to type, because i expect to click the bubble and be able to type a custom comic, but that might be user error. I also think allowing users to upload art would be a great idea!

The whole website is great. I like the concept and the design and had a lot of fun reading the questions. Besides the gorilla expressions maybe you can change his background too, i mean his sorroundings, so it matches the questions or whatever.
