    Weird question

Ok, I have been approached by my boss concerning some new software that our company is looking into. It is called automod and it is a basically a simulation modeling tool. What they are looking for is realistic 3D graphics that can be used in this tool. I have been trying to find some on the web, to save hours of time by not drawing them from scratch, but no dice. I was wondering if anyone knows of a repository of such images, basically 3D images of people, conveyor belts, etc., that could be downloaded from another site?

I can give more info if this is confusing.

I have only dabbled a little with 3D stuff, but can offer you a little advice. Most 3D apps import 'dxf' files, you will find loads on the sites above. This seems to be a pretty common 'cross platform/software' 3D model file format. You should be able to import dxf models into the app you mention, although I have never heard of it!). Also, many import 3DS files (3D Studio), of which you will also find loads of on the net.

the links above are a very very good start, esp 3dcafe... one of my old favorites

www.erain.com has a good 3D program called Swift3D for the money, but you wont beat 3D Studio Max.
