    Netscape point of view

I am hoping that some of you here that have Netscape 4.x and above will please take a minute to look at this site http://www.mynameisonit.com and let me know 2 things:

    1) Is the navigation menu visible and operational...Javascript errors perhaps? If not then please tell me what version of Netscape you were using.

    2)http://www.mynameisonit.com/tropictr...t=4&cat=Shirts

WHen clicking on the "Click to choose your Free design" link and after the new window opens can you click on an image of the stock art does the form value gets transfered to the next page? Note, if it does you should get this message: you have chosen stock art #CH0063 (The number in red will vary if the form gets submitted successfully in Netscape)

In the window mentioned above, when you click the ACCEPT Button, does the popup window close and does the main page "refresh" thus showing the design value that you chose in the form field "Add A FREE Design (from our catalog) "?

Anyone know where to get an old copy of Netscape?

Thank you in advance for your time.

Oh sorry didnt have JavaScript enabled!

The choose free design does work right and when I press accept it does refresh and close.

The navigation panel is there but does not look very good at all.

    http://home.netscape.com/download/

hey alexming - I get the attached display of the navbar in N4.78 (colors are altered by saving as .gif)

on yer second Q, everything works as intended except the final stage (showing the design value that you chose in the form field) - I tested in IE5.5 to be sure of what you meant and it worked there

hmm, "too big" to attach, eh? - how 'bout this?

    Got around it

Well after fiddling with it for a while I just decided to show different content based on server side browser detection. It SHOULD be ok with Netscape now. IE visitors will see one navigation while Netscape users will see another.

Looking at the site through Netscape eyes now that i have downloaded the browser ( Thanks by the way ... I should have thought that the best place to get Netscape would be at Netscape ....DOH!!!).

I have a CSS that places a thin border around the images and of course Netscape does not like this. Is there a way to place a border around images in Netscape? Either thorugh CSS or through good old fashioned HTML?

Thanks again for taking the time to look at this by the way.

    GOT IT

Well it's time to back off this thing for a while. when you can't see simple things like border="1" it's best to take a break.

Thank you all for the help

NS 4.76. Looks just fine. Not as good as it does in IE, but no breakage.
