    secure my website

    Anyone know how I would protect my online web page that is to have a login page ? is there a firewall that would sort this ?

    Are you saying you want to add a Login page to your site? Well, that is not quite as easy as you make out, and no a firewall wouldn't do this.

    You need either a) htaccess or b) some server-side programming.

    The latter is fairly easy, you have a db with username and passwords and then do a lookup and check they match, if they do you let them in.

    But I am guessing that the former is more appropriate for you. BUT, if you are only on a freeserver I don't think you will be able to do it -- do they not offer protected pages? Best to check out their help section and see if they do, and esp whether they let you use .htaccess. If they do, post back and I'll show you how...
